Welcome to the Website of Tumba College of Technology (TCT). TCT is a dynamic and forward-looking College, vibrant and lively; established in 2007 under the cabinet decision, to produce highly skilled workforce to meet industry and social needs.

Currently we offer three courses leading to a national diploma (A1) namely: - Alternative Energy (AE), Electronics and Telecommunication (ET), and Information Technology (IT).  Our curriculum is industry-lead, was constructed in collaboration with the Technical Advisory Group (TAG), which is composed of experts from industries and academics; JICA experts from Japan and third world countries like Nepal and Indonesia also added a lot of value. We are confident that our programs are internationally benchmarked and meet national and international demands. AE department tackles directly the green environment issues through nurturing young skilled technician with skills of renewable energy.  ET addresses the critical issue of high demand of high-level technician, who can handle wireless, structured cable communications and repair and maintenance of electrics devices while IT department supports the country’s vision 2020* by providing graduates with skills to handle complicated computer issues, including network administration, software development, and maintenance of PCs.

The college is linked to networks of learning centers within the country and internationally for staff trainings and students to gain access to more learning facilities. The college has a comprehensive range of facilities to enhance teaching and learning quality, including access to digital/multimedia library, computer labs, well-equipped state of the art labs/workshops, sports facilities as well as hostels for boys and girls on campus.

The strength of our graduate lies in their practical hands-on skills, which can be applied on the first day at the working place.  Under our two and a half year school curricula, we conduct Industrial Attachment (internship) as a critical component. Through this experience, students learn not only technical skills but also right working attitude and good social manners.

We welcome visits from potential students. So, why not come in, have a look around and talk to our staffs and students to get a better idea of how our college can help you become a technically oriented entrepreneur. We can help you define your destiny for both work and life.

This invitation is extended to all of you who are interested in our business, whether you are a parent, employer etc; our door is open for you to better understand our college.

*Rwanda's Vision 2020 aims at a knowledge-based and technology-led economy and puts high priority in human resources development in the field of Science and Technology.
