The JICA-Africa Department in charge of Rwanda visited Tumba College of Technology on a Familiarization Tour.

                   
The Jica Africa department in charge of Rwanda Mr. KODAMA, TCT Principal Eng. GATABAZI, Jica-Programme Manager Mr. TSUJIMOTO, and TCT-Jica Deputy Chief Advisor Ms. IKAWA Mariko watch as TCT ET HOD Mr. MUSABYIMANA Demonstrates the Electronic components to be used for implementation of electronic infrastructure.

On Monday October 24, 2011, The JICA (Japan International Cooperation Agency) Africa department in charge of Rwanda Mr. KODAMA Akihiko visited Tumba College of Technology on familiarization tour. He was accompanied by Mr. Atsushi TSUJIMOTO-The programme manager JICA-Rwanda and TCT-JICA Deputy Chief Advisor Ms. IKAWA Mariko.

The principal TCT Eng.Pascal GATABAZI made a brief presentation that gave general information about TCT to the visitors .The principal went on to thank JICA for its support to the college. The guests visited different sites in the college including the Department of Alternative Energy mechanical workshops, CISCO labolatory, networking and software development laboratories in the Information Technology department and Electronics and Telecommunication department’s laboratories where there are sections for microwave communications, Radio Technology, and robotics Technology. After visiting the sites the visitors were highly pleased and appreciated what has been done by TCT.

The Guest of Honor Mr. KODAMA Akihiko promised that JICA-Rwanda will continue to provide support to TCT to ensure the adoption of ideas from TCT into the main stream of the Rwandan Education policy to meet the needs of industrial sector of Rwanda hence contributing to the development of Rwandan community.
