Our mission is to produce competent IT technicians with adequate practical skills relevant for the nation and region’s socio- economic developmental goals and to build a scholarly center of learning in IT that is world class.

Department Objectives

The IT department objectives include

To improve the human resources in the technical sector of Rwanda, and to add quality in the skills and improve the employability of the erstwhile leavers from Secondary Schools

To produce adequately skilled and more practical graduates needed by industries and who can compete in the wider world

To train students with skills and knowledge in the areas of IT hardware, Networks, Software and other common fields like Entrepreneurship

To increase coverage of students exploiting the existing resource potentials of the nation

To make partnerships with industries to ensure quality and relevance of training

And To contribute to local and regional industry and community development especially in the fields of emerging technologies
