Tumba College of Technology has organized a stake holder’s workshop that took place at Hotel Mille Collines –Kigali; The workshop is to establish periodic programs for its department of Information Technology (IT) focused to have industry opinion as a need to have an organizational / industry in its academic program.
However, the main objectives of this workshop was to provide opportunity for TCT to interact with industries, to harness the contribution of industries for appropriate shaping the institution provider training process and to demonstrate some emerging trends in technologies of virtualization .


On his remarks the Principal of Tumba College of Technology Eng. GATABAZI Pascal mentioned that the vision of TCT is to be a model and leading technical education center in the areas of science and technology while its mission is to produce a competent hands on skills technicians using high quality practical education mostly practical technicians to Rwandan industries and its economic development at large furthermore TCT is strongly dynamic and forward looking concepts, practical oriented curriculum and strong links with industries he said’ he further shared the varieties of TCT’s enviable resources and facilities like computerized library, state of art labs / workshops and sports all in addition to network links of learning centers. Ending his remarks he said that TCT’s strategic tactics includes focus on technical education that can make real contribution to society, environment for leading-age, research and development.

Attendance to this workshop were industries / organizations that deals with IT activities;
During his closing remarks the HOD-Computer Engineering of Kigali Institute of Science and Technology (KIST) acknowledge the productive ideas presented during the workshop and recommended the idea of TCT working closer to industries as an opportunity and asset to IT development.
