Tumba College of Technology participated in the 13th Rwanda International Trade Fair – 2010, which took place at Private Sector Federation grounds – Kigali from August 26 to September 8, 2010.

International exhibitors included Companies and Academic institutions mainly from East Africa and other African countries. Local exhibitors included companies, SMEs and Academic institutions.

Tumba College of Technology like other exhibitors showcased its products, which included Pico hydro Power Machine (demonstration of electricity generation using falling water), improved energy saving cooking stoves, briquetting technology (esp. beehive), fiber optics technology, solar box etc.

Based on quality, innovation and standards of products; a team of evaluators visited every exhibitor in order to establish the best ones and give them awards.

Tumba College of Technology came out as the 2nd best exhibitor and was awarded a trophy (Innovative exhibitor).

Tumba College of Technology was commended for its innovative work and encouraged to spearhead technological innovations addressing community needs.
