The academics division of TCT is the part of TCT setup that is responsible for academic infrastructure availability, academic services, academics resources supply, library services availability, academic programme delivery and academic programmes quality assurance.
The division of academics consist operational areas such as the Academic services, the faculty, and the TCT Library. The Academic programme is based on three departments.
Information Technology Department Concepts
The purpose of the Diploma program is to produce technicians with excellent skills in Software development, Hardware, Networking and Common Courses and to ensure that students have the necessary knowledge for further study through research, project or Industrial attachment.
This program provides technicians with knowledge, skills and attitudes that meet the needs of the current and anticipated future computing environment.
ET Department Concepts
Electronics and Telecommunications department of the College is bone out of the desire of the Government of Rwanda to actualize set targets of vision 2020 dreams by producing skilled technical manpower.
The departmental courses content are designed in a manner that would facilitate students specialize in three areas.
The three major areas are considered to be the backbone of the departmental concept:
(i). Repairs, Assembly and maintenance of Electronics devices (RA).
(ii). Cable communications system (CC).
(iii). Wireless Communications system (WC).
AE Department Concepts
The objective of the courses offered is to produce graduates who will become Technician who will be able to work independently and supervise artisans during the construction, installation and maintenance of alternative energy systems suitable for Rwanda.
