Launching Ceremony of Three Clubs Held in Tumba College of Technology.
On Thursday September 8, 2011, Tumba College of Technology students launched three
clubs; the Anti-AIDS club, Students Club for Unity and Reconciliation (SCUR) as well
as that of Environmental Protection Club. During the launching ceremony two clubs
were represented on a national level that is students club for unity and reconciliation
and Environmental protection.
The students club for unity and reconciliation was officially represented by
Mrs. Thacienne BAMPIRE in charge of Mass Education and Public Debate in National Unity and
Reconciliation Commission (NURC) while the Environmental Protection Club was officially
represented by Mr. Djuma NSANZIMANA, Officer in Charge of Environmental Education in Rwanda
Environment Management Authority (REMA).
The two visitors promised the Students to work hand in hand where necessary and thanked the
college to have accepted the clubs to be born in the college. The visitors further told the
students to acquire education for sustainable development and education for change for the
betterment of their lives as well as the entire Rwandan community.
On behalf of TCT Principal Mr. Wilson NZITATIRA, The Director of Human Resources and Administration,
thanked the students for the idea of forming the above mentioned clubs and told the students that
the clubs should grow and spread beyond the school boundaries to even as far as the neighboring
countries. He also promised the students to work hand in hand in order to achieve their goals and
he finally thanked the visitors on behalf of TCT community to have actively responded positively
towards the launching ceremony of the above mentioned clubs.
